Relief Society Newsletter - September 2022
Happy September!! "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" (Ecc 3:1). When my kids were in school, this time of year always brought a new teacher, new friends, and possibly new schools. As I get older, I realize nothing seems to stay the same. There is always something new that we all have to deal with in every stage of life. With this commotion, it is our responsibility to adapt and equip ourselves with this change. There is one thing that does not change, and this is the peace of the gospel. As you read from the scriptures this week, think of how these words of wisdom have survived thousands of years. The scriptures are for us to learn and follow. Heavenly Father has not left us alone in this world. We have the scriptures! And the prophet!! I am so grateful for both! I pray that we can be inspired to heed our Savior's words as we begin this new September!
Sisters, you will receive a call from one of the sisters in the Relief Society presidency this month regarding ministering. I hope that you have gotten to know your ministering sisters. We would love to know how things are going in your ministering assignment. Thanks for your willingness to serve!
"We are all in this together. We need each other. Oh, how we need each other." (Marjorie Pay Hinckley).
Love you all

Eastside Baby Corner Service Opportunity – The Eastside Baby Corner (www.babycorner.org) asked if there were any women who would be willing to help do minor sewing repairs on Halloween costumes. They receive dozens of costumes every year but must throw them out if a seam is ripped or something has fallen off because they don’t want to give them to kids if they’re damaged. If anyone is willing to help, please contact Nan Slaughter. Nan will pick up the costumes and deliver them to you. This is just for the months of September and October.
